Ashtyn works with children, youth, adults, and elders who are experiencing academic or work-related stress, mood and anxiety concerns, trauma, insomnia, and personal or relational challenges. She has particular experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, as well as parents navigating parenting stress and family dynamics. She also supports clients with low self-esteem, anger management, grief and bereavement, and life transitions.

She has long been drawn to working with people and is deeply moved by human suffering, while also inspired by individuals’ resilience and inner strengths. Ashtyn considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients during difficult moments in their life journeys. Her role as a psychotherapist is to support clients in making sense of their experiences, clarifying their values, discovering their own solutions, building healthier relationships, and developing greater acceptance and compassion toward themselves.

Therapy offers a space where challenges such as anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, sleep problems, and life transitions can be explored safely and without judgment. Clients are supported in developing practical and meaningful strategies for change that align with their needs and goals.

Ashtyn practices an integrative, trauma-informed approach grounded in strength-based and anti-oppressive frameworks. Her work draws from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and attachment- and mindfulness-informed interventions. Therapy is tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and cultural context.

Ashtyn has worked across public health facilities, schools, non-profit organizations, family service centres, and private practice. She offers psychotherapy in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and strives to provide a culturally responsive and emotionally safe space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported as they move toward healing and growth.
