陳少婷 (Goran) 中醫博士生於中醫世家,家父為跌打骨傷科中醫師,兄長亦承繼衣缽行醫多年。自幼耳濡目染,對中醫藥學產生濃厚興趣,立志傳承家族醫術,以中醫濟世助人。
陳醫師於2007年取得香港大學中醫全科學士學位,其後於香港中文大學修讀中醫理學碩士,專研中醫內科。為求精進學術,再赴廣州中醫藥大學攻讀中醫內科博士,師從廣東省中醫院老年腦病研究所所長、博士生導師劉茂才教授,專攻中風及神經科相關疾病。2021至2022年間,陳醫師再於香港中文大學中醫學院修畢中醫骨傷推拿高等文憑,並以優異成績畢業。
臨床經驗方面,陳醫師自2009年起於靈實醫院及將軍澳醫院為住院中風病人進行針灸治療,累積豐富的中風復康經驗。其後獲醫管局頒發中醫專科進修獎學金,遠赴北京中國中醫科學院西苑醫院進修神經科、老人科及針灸科。2020年起於東華三院中醫教研診所擔任二級中醫師,並於東華醫院中風病房擔任中西醫結合(ICWM)主要中醫師,專責為中風病人提供復康治療,深受病人及家屬信賴。
陳醫師現持有香港註冊中醫師資格,同時具備加拿大安大略省註冊中醫師及針灸師資格,精通廣東話、英語及普通話。除中風治療外,陳醫師亦擅長處理各類痛症、扭傷等骨傷疾病,對針灸美容及面癱治療亦甚有心得。
工作以外,陳醫師同時是認可茶藝師及專業花藝師,深信身心靈健康缺一不可。希望將中醫、茶藝及花藝三者結合,從多角度關顧病人的整體健康,令治療不止於身體層面,更能照顧到情緒與心靈上的需要,真正做到全人治療。
Dr. Goran Chan (PHD) was born into a family with a long tradition of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Her father practised TCM with a specialization in Dit Da and orthopaedic injuries, while her elder brother also followed in the family tradition and has practised Chinese medicine for many years. Growing up immersed in this environment, Dr. Chan developed a strong interest in Chinese medicine from an early age and aspired to carry on her family’s medical tradition by using TCM to help others.
Dr. Chan obtained her Bachelor of Chinese Medicine from The University of Hong Kong in 2007. She subsequently pursued a Master of Science in Chinese Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a focus on Chinese internal medicine. Seeking to further advance her academic and clinical expertise, she went on to undertake doctoral studies in Chinese internal medicine at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, under the supervision of Professor Liu Maocai, Director of the Institute of Geriatric Neurology at Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine and a doctoral supervisor, with a particular focus on stroke and neurological disorders. From 2021 to 2022, Dr. Chan further completed an Advanced Diploma in TCM Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Tui Na at the School of Chinese Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, graduating with outstanding academic performance.
In terms of clinical experience, Dr. Chan began providing acupuncture treatment to hospitalized stroke patients at Haven of Hope Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital in 2009, gaining extensive experience in stroke rehabilitation. She was subsequently awarded a Chinese Medicine Specialist Training Scholarship by the Hospital Authority, which enabled her to undertake advanced clinical training in neurology, geriatrics and acupuncture at Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing. In 2020, she joined a Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Chinese Medicine Clinical Centre for Training and Research as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner II. She also served as the principal Chinese medicine practitioner for Integrated Chinese-Western Medicine (ICWM) in the stroke ward of Tung Wah Hospital, where she was primarily responsible for providing rehabilitation treatment to stroke patients. Through her dedicated clinical care, she earned the trust of both patients and their families.
Dr. Chan is currently a Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong and is also registered in Ontario, Canada, as both a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) and a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac). She is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. In addition to stroke management, Dr. Chan has extensive experience in treating various pain conditions, sprains and other musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. She also has a particular interest and expertise in cosmetic acupuncture and the treatment of facial paralysis.
Outside her clinical practice, Dr. Chan is also a certified tea art practitioner and a professional floral designer. She firmly believes that physical, emotional and spiritual well-being are all essential components of overall health. By integrating the principles of Chinese medicine, tea art and floral art, she hopes to care for her patients from multiple perspectives. Her goal is for treatment to go beyond addressing physical symptoms alone, extending to patients’ emotional and spiritual well-being and thereby providing truly holistic, whole-person care.
